Powers of Attorney

In October 2007 the Laws relating to Powers of Attorney were updated substantially. The old Enduring Power of Attorney documents which were very simple ceased to be available for Powers of Attorney signed after October 2007 although existing Enduring Powers signed before that date remain valid. The system was changed by the introduction of Lasting Powers of Attorney which are substantially more complex documents.
